Materials with Memory brings together 33 artists at the Siskiyou Arts Museum in Dunsmuir, California, from September 12 through November 7, 2026. I asked participating artists to choose a material, a vessel, and a tradition, then make a work that considers what each can carry forward. The resulting exhibition includes painting, stained glass, ceramics, textiles, paper, and wood, with stories of family, place, craft, and change held in the objects themselves. My six pieces draw on egg tempera, gilding, stained glass, and ceramics to explore how traditional methods can give form to contemporary stories.
